Raumstaben – Typo 2006

tagged as:

Meso and Claudius Lazzeroni asked me in February 2006, if I would like to do some research for the raumstaben project and prepare a little workshop for the typo conference in berlin. In the end I held there of lecture to present my work for the raumstaben project (longside Claudius) and had the opportunity to do a little workshop session to introducing vvvv as an alternative tool into the typo-scene.

Furthermore you can see below some of my results as well as some questions I asked myself during the workout process. These questions became, so to speak, my guideline toward the final visual artwork.

What kind of frequency or rhythm is needed to translate a plane line into a plastic body?

Which forms “in between” are possible during transformation from letter to letter? At what “point” is it possible to interpret a sign?

Is it possible to read a whole word or letter as plastic body?

Or to read “via” the z-axis?
