Raumstaben - Typo 2006

meso and Claudius Lazzeroni asked me in February 06, if I would like to do some research for the raumstaben project and prepare a little workshop for the typo berlin conference. Showing there (longside C. Lazzeroni) my work for raumstaben and introducing vvvv to the audience as an easy tool for typographic experiments.

Below you can see some of the results as well as some questions I asked myself during the workout process.

What kind of frequency or rhythm is needed to translate a plane line into a plastic body?

Which forms “in between” are possible during transformation from letter to letter? At what “point” is it possible to interpret a sign?
